Ready Up! 1 Timothy 1:1-2

Before Paul gives Timothy his instructions for confronting false teaching and leading the church at Ephesus, he reminds him of the truths that will prepare him for the work ahead. Timothy serves under God’s authority, rests in Christ as his hope, carries forward a faith entrusted to him, and depends upon the grace, mercy, and peace that only God can provide.

In this sermon we will see that God never calls His servants to a work without first preparing them for it. The assignment may be difficult, the opposition may be real, and the responsibility may be great, but God provides everything His servants need to faithfully carry out His calling.
