John 14:16-31 Not Left Alone
May 10, 2026 • Dr. Stuart Guthrie
This week on Getting in the Word, Pastor Stuart Guthrie brings a message from the Gospel of John chapter 14:16–31 titled, “Not Left Alone.”
On the night before the cross, Jesus prepared His disciples for His departure. Though their hearts were troubled, Christ reminded them they would not be abandoned. He promised the coming of the Holy Spirit, the abiding presence of God within the believer, and a peace the world could never give.
If you have ever felt alone, fearful, uncertain, or overwhelmed, this passage reminds us that the believer is never forsaken. Through the indwelling Holy Spirit, Christ is present with His people even now.
Open your Bible and let’s begin getting in the Word.
