Volunteer

For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve...

Mark 10:45

At Family Bible Fellowship, we believe every believer has been gifted by God to serve and contribute to the life of the church. Volunteering is more than filling a position, it is an opportunity to use your gifts, talents, and abilities to glorify God and help others grow in their faith. Whether serving in children's ministry, student ministry, hospitality, worship, media, outreach, facilities, or one of many other areas, volunteers play a vital role in helping us fulfill our mission to know Christ and make Him known. Serving alongside fellow believers also provides meaningful opportunities to build relationships, develop spiritual gifts, and make a lasting impact in the lives of others. No matter your age, experience, or skill set, there is a place for you to serve at Family Bible Fellowship. We would love to help you discover where God has gifted you and connect you with a ministry where you can faithfully serve Him and encourage others.

Volunteer FAQ

How do I volunteer?

To begin, complete the volunteer interest form and let us know which ministry areas interest you. Once submitted, a ministry leader will contact you to discuss available opportunities, answer any questions you may have, and help you find a place where you can serve effectively. Depending on the ministry, additional training, orientation, or background screening may be required. Our goal is to help you discover where God has gifted you and connect you with meaningful opportunities to serve His church and reach others for Christ.

How do I volunteer with kids?

The Children's Ministry at Family Bible Fellowship is dedicated to partnering with parents to help children know Christ and grow in their understanding of God's Word. Through age-appropriate biblical teaching, worship, activities, and discipleship, we seek to provide a safe, engaging, and Christ-centered environment where children can learn about Jesus and develop a strong spiritual foundation. Our volunteers play a vital role in helping children experience the love of Christ and understand the truths of Scripture. Because the safety and well-being of our children are a high priority, the volunteer process for Children's Ministry includes additional steps beyond our standard volunteer application. All prospective volunteers must complete a volunteer interest form, participate in a ministry interview, and successfully complete a background check before serving. These measures help ensure a safe and secure environment for every child and family entrusted to our care.

How do I volunteer with music?

Whether you sing, play an instrument, or have experience in worship ministry, we would love to connect with you. The Music Ministry values both spiritual maturity and musical excellence as we work together to create an atmosphere that encourages the congregation to worship the Lord. How do I volunteer with students?

The Student Ministry at Family Bible Fellowship is committed to helping middle and high school students know Christ, grow in their faith, and develop a biblical worldview that will guide them throughout life. Through Bible teaching, discipleship, fellowship, service opportunities, and special events, students are encouraged to deepen their relationship with the Lord while building meaningful friendships with other believers. Our volunteers play an essential role in mentoring, encouraging, and investing in the next generation. Serving in Student Ministry provides a unique opportunity to influence young lives during some of their most formative years. Whether leading a small group, assisting with events, helping with activities, or simply building relationships with students, faithful volunteers help create an environment where students can grow spiritually and experience authentic Christian community. To ensure a safe and healthy ministry environment, all volunteers must complete a volunteer interest form and participate in the church's screening and approval process before serving.
